Technical audit of protection system of Ikea Industry factory in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal.
System Description
Ikea industry has a 60/15 kV client substation, with a 20 MVA power transformer. The 20 kV network inside the factory is an open ring, with 4 power stations. Each power station has several 15/0,4 kV transformers to feed the Low Voltage network.
Ikea Industry is mounting a roof self-consumption photovoltaic system with 4,56 MVA rated power, and the technical audit aimed to evaluate the impact on the protection system.
Description of Activity
ENGIPROT work team was responsible for analyse the current protection system, with the focus on the active protection functions and settings, as well as, the High Voltage and Medium Voltage electrical equipment and network.
Recalculation of protection settings to mitigate the effects of electrical faults.
